are they meaningless?

I’m not sure if the recent popular memes, binders full of women and horses and bayonets, will effect voter decisions come election time. I’m embarassed to say that it’s entertaining to hear these memes reported repeatedly in countless news sources, in texts from friends, and even in conversations in grocery stores.  These memes do give campaigns and candidates additional things to ‘study’ when preparing for events and speeches. And  I’m sure that there is a high impetus to avoid using meme friendly diction, unless aimed at the opposition.

Romney and the republicans seem mighty out of touch and are apparently losing this ‘meme’ battle.

Perhaps there is a revitilized interest in this year’s election, due to a search for memes or something; regardless, it’s all manufactured.
